Designed by Henri d'Origny , Arabesques was first published in 1964 , then reissued in 1980. This iconic model from the Hermès universe is presented here in a rare 140 cm version in silk chiffon , particularly fluid and elegant.

The motif, inspired by classical decorative ornaments, develops a language of curves, illuminations, and refined symmetries. In its large format , each volute seems to float freely, revealing an aerial interpretation of the original design.

The flamboyant palette blends burnt orange, deep red and golden notes on a transparent background, a vibrant and warm composition, enhanced by the fineness of the muslin.

Condition : Excellent, near mint. Features a discreet "S" stamp (Hermès private sale). You will receive it clean, well-maintained, ready to wear or gift, in its original Hermès box .

Art and History of this Hermès Scarf

With Arabesques , Henri d'Origny pays homage to European decorative art, through a composition inspired by ironwork, illuminated manuscripts and vegetal scrolls.
This elegantly structured square scarf plays on the codes of movement and repetition to create a pattern that is both classic and hypnotic. In the chiffon version, the design gains in transparency and fluidity.
