Fantaisies indiennes (Indian Fantasies) is a giant Hermès design by Pierre Marie, in a generous cashmere and silk format. The motif is organised around a central tree, teeming and almost magical, whose branches are covered with flowers, birds and decorative details inspired by the Indian imagination.

The composition plays on a very strong contrast between the royal blue ground and the abundance of floral motifs. Around the tree, the lively border brings in figures, animals, riders, elephants, chariots and miniature scenes, like a narrative procession framing the central motif.
